Hari ni kami dah set untuk buat daytrip to Rome. Tiket train dah siap beli. It's good at least Hessa dapat merasa naik train. Plus another rest day from driving for me. Kalau beli tiket awal, harga tiket jauh lagi murah.
Driving Florence to Rome dalam 3 jam lebih. While train cuma 2.5jam. And you arrive at the center station. Kalau drive nak kena kira cost parking lagi. Bandar Rome ni banyak tempat yang hanya buka utk pejalan kaki. X kira zon ZTL lagi. But it was a great experience for the kids. They enjoyed the train ride. And masa ni lah digunakan untuk sembang2 tengok2 gambar :-)
Sesampai je dekat Rome, kami terus decide mcm mana to explore. Aku throw ideas samada ambil public transport n target satu dua tempat. Atau ambil hop on hop off. Everyone prefer the hop on hop off. Ada banyak pilihan hop on hop off di sekitar Main Termini. Pilih je mana yang ada. Banyak review mana yang best. But kami ambil yg standard dan ok je.
First stop (apparently our only stop) Colleseum. Susah betul nak bergambar Hessa ni. Dah lah tak tentu bila nak ada rezeki ke sini lagi. Ni dia tgh boring n malas bergambar. So dapat lah ibu n daddy je posing.
Bila hop on hop off ni... Challenge dia, kita kena tunggu bas sampai dan tunggu bas bergerak. So agak lama jugak spend time kat collesuem for that. Tak masuk pun sebab beratur panjang giler dan very sunny.
Next stop... Mcm boleh berhenti utk ke vatican city. Tapi x de connection ke vatican city sbb it is located out of Italy. Nak ke sana jauh sangat kalau berjalan. So we decided utk view the city from the bus je terus... Dan pilih next stop bila break for lunch nanti. We choose it later.
Di stesen central termini banyak makanan halal. Although mostly mcm south asians but they do serve italian food. So we had pizza and pasta... Seriously yummy.
Lepas makan kitaorg naik semula hop on hop off. Plan nak stop utk ke area Pantheon. My favourite monument. Apart from Trevi Fountain. Ooh aku pernah gi tempat2 ni way back in 2004. So takde lah streaa if x sempat tengok semula. Ooh apparently the afternoon ride, bas lalu jalan lain. X lalu jalan pagi tu... So ended up we decided to enjoy the view again... Hahaha... Rome seriously needed a re-visit insyaAllah. Ibu nak datang lagi some other time. And Hessa so happy with the bus ride... Petang-petang ni tak ramai orang sangat.
While we were on the top deck, we didnt know that mak abah dah bersedih kat bawah. Malang x berbau. Rupanya mak realised beg duit dia kena curi, possibly by the notorious pick pocket. Suspect masa keluar lunch tadi. Banyak jugak yang hilang. So hati dah tak seronok. So decided to go back to main station je. Fikir the next steps. Semua tempat dah x jadi cantik dah masa ni. Runsing.
Kami kembali ke station. Dah petang dah masa tu. Ada sejam lebih masa sebelum train ke Florence. We can choose to lodge police report di Rome. Tanya sana sini... Police station dah pindah, a bit distance to walk. Takut x sempat nak kejar train later. We decided utk tunggu train dan report kat Florence.
We arrived at Florence just almost maghrib. Plan nak buat report. But x sure nak buat mcm mana. But abah called insurance company, they only needed police report then semua akan settle kat Malaysia. Lastly, kami agree only to report esok di Venice. Sebab sana kita ada free day dan byk time nak report.
